A good carousel feels like someone walking you through an idea. Each slide gives you one new reason to keep going, and the last one helps the whole story land.
Help each slide carry the story forward
Give people a reason to stay, show what happened, explain why it matters, and leave them with one clear thought.
Give the story a simple shape
Open with the question or surprise. Use the middle slides to explain what happened and why it matters. End with the practical takeaway or a thoughtful question. If you can describe the point of each slide in one sentence, the sequence is probably clear.
Make each slide easy to scan
Keep one main idea on a slide. Use a clear heading, comfortable type, and enough space around the words. A short example or number can help, as long as it earns its place and comes from a source you trust.
Check the details before you share
Verify names, figures, screenshots, and claims. If a source is important to the story, make it easy to find. Read the carousel from beginning to end on a phone, where text can feel much smaller than it did while you were designing.
A small visual idea can carry a serious topic. Keep the design recognizably yours and let the information stay in the spotlight.
